This week's collection of featured projects is diverse – spanning from interactive narrative storytelling to gritty 360 immersive journalism – but one thing they all have in common is that they are highly deserving of your attention. Real Time Interactive Mystery
In the year 2034, 1.6 billion people have a cutting-edge brain implant that allows them to record, relive and share their memories. You become a Memory Investigator for the Neuro Crimes Task Force. It is your job to search the last recorded memories of murder victims and find out, not just who killed them, but who they were and what led them to their final moments. The Argos File is a Proto Award-winning interactive-live-action Virtual Reality film, integrating cinema-quality visual effects and 360 ̊ stereoscopic footage with unique mechanics for engaging in the narrative.

Join Dr. Rich Blundell in his hammock of contemplative thought experiments for a fun, deep-dive into the light of a setting sun. In the Light of the Forest, you’ll encounter a hidden world as revealed through the eyes of different creatures and wavelengths. You’ll then embark on a personal journey all the way back to the beginning of space and time to decipher an ancient story of how light evolved into your ability to see. By the end of your trip you’ll experience the world with a radical new appreciation of light, sight and self.

THE INVISIBLE MAN

Live Action Absurdist Drama
It may take you 5 views to figure it out, but in The Invisible Man the answers are all around you – literally. Low-level drug traffickers Nick and Kid share a secret. But they also have a debt to pay - to Frank. When Frank suddenly shows up at their hideout, they have no choice but to oblige in his sadistic proposal to settle scores with a variation to the game of Russian Roulette. Each click of the chamber reveals a little bit more about each character in the room. How does Frank know which chamber the bullet lies? And what role does the viewer play in the drama?

ZERO DAYS VR

The northern white rhinoceros is the most endangered animal on earth. Only three remain, and they are protected at all times by heavily armed bodyguards. The Ark is a virtual reality documentary that puts viewers face-to-face with the last northern white rhinos, and tells the story of the global coalition of scientists who are fighting to rescue the species from extinction. Created by dynamic tag team Kel O'Neill and Eline Jongsma of Jongsma + O'Neill, The Ark is an immersive tale, beautiful and cautionary all at once.

Pulse Original Sky Kraken, the real-time narrative interactive experience directed by George Kacevski, has penned a deal with Canadian VR Arcade VRKADE. Sky Kraken puts you in the shoes of an airborne adventurer who must tackle two menaces of the skies in order to save your city: Dangerous sky pirates, and the terrifying natural force these villains have released...the Sky Kraken. We're sure that this deal is the first of many more to come for this exciting and innovative project.
Aaron Bradbury's fantastic volumetric 360 experience Vestige has an exciting new partnership to announce with Depthkit, a company that specializes in volumetric video solutions. The new partnership showed off how powerful their collaboration can be at the VR World Congress. Vestige has been making waves across the VR industry since being born out of DevLab. It continues to gather momentum during its development stage and is looking to attract further partnerships to bring the project to completion.
Invar Studios' recently-released Rose Colored already has a huge, shiny white feather in its cap: the narrative live-action experience will be licensed and distributed globally by VR-standout Jaunt in the coming few days. We've been informed that Invar is also in talks with a Chinese company for licensing and distribution in the rapidly expanding VR market that is China. Keep your ear pinned to the ground for more news on this project. We have a feeling it's going to be special.
